“Made a wrong turn when we stopped to gas up for our trip to Las Vegas. It ended up being the best “wrong turn” we’ve made in a long time. We found this wonderful authentic Hawaiian Barbeque joint nestled in between a copy and print business and an auto detail company. We were so impressed by the friendly environment and the non-commercial feel that existed in Island Grinds. Just a local family working hard to achieve the American dream! This of course was second only to their amazing food! The IG chicken is to die for!!”

“This place has the best Hawaiian/Polynesian food Utah can offer. A family atmosphere where you can relax, “talk stories,” and enjoy the awesome food, company, & beautiful artwork of Selu Alofipo. What other restaurant do you know opens their menu up to the public on certain days and gives food away at donation only, offers a huge support system to our troubled youth and the less fortunate? It’s quite humbling to see this form of rare kindness now days. Go there now. Everything on the menu is delicious, my personal favorite is their Pupu chicken.”

I eat at Island Grinds about once/week. Their BBQ chicken and PuPu chicken is absolutely "off the charts" FANTASTIC! And the owners are involved in doing so much good for our community. If you haven't been to Island Grinds yet, you gotta check it out! Awesome food at incredibly reasonable prices!!!

The cashier was super friendly and explained the different food to me. The first time eating here I had the Kalua Pig with rice & macaroni salad. I was definitely impressed. The second time in, I got the Pupu Chicken... That stuff is addicting! The portion sizes are HUGE and the food is delicious! They cook everything fresh and is totally worth the wait! I just wish they had a location in Hurricane!"
